To King with Love

Excuse us, for no carpets of flowers

Were held a bit by the natures' powers 

Took us by surprise, with no answers

Later our spirit took on the showers  

Suddenly, it was like before, all equal
No rich, no poor, were no rules dual
None thought of, any gains individual
Good old days were back again in real

King, you  gave us the sense of unity
We held on to it during the calamity
For us you up there next to almighty
We still believe in you & your entity

Still etched in us your looks, your aura
It's you who rule us even in this era
Await your arrival, with hopes plethora
Your belief in us gives happiness extra

Happy Onam to all of you!
this Onam we deserve to enjoy

Gods own country put to test

Floods wrecking havoc, put us not to panic
Engulfed the land in no time, like supersonic
The mass took over, literacy acted as the tonic
Salute you people of Kerala, your acts iconic

Sitting idle on the terrace and looking down
Nothing remains in here, no village, no town
Lush Green it was before, now turned brown
Submerged in water, the country God’s  own

Sure, the land will come out of this mayhem
And certainly do it ourselves, need no sachem
Politics, religion preachers, don’t need them
Beyond all these, “the mallu unity” our anthem

Never can make out nature’s acts and mood
Take it for granted,  exploit it and do no good

Later realize, it’s fury, we all misunderstood
But came out of it strongly our brotherhood

Freedom Our Birthright

Never did those kind of days in my life I encounter
Fathom not the pain, while freedom one surrender
I typed  “ Colonized  India” in google and hit enter
Nothing but exploitation at peak, left right & center

Some good men came together, freedom they suffice
We were slaves then, now slaves of our own malice
Divide conquer, technique learnt, now at our service
Never far behind, we mastered, now put to practice

Forget the differences, celebrate the day of freedom
All of us fought, such a unity we get to see seldom
United we remain in the love for India, our kingdom
The nation will do good if led by people of wisdom

Let us utilize our spirit for good, act not like idiots
Let not the differences rule, say no to anymore riots
Let not selfish acts prevail, protect our compatriots
Let’s put country first, love it like those old patriots

Thought to write, it’s been a while 

But, what to? brought in me a smile

Searched with all my guts and guile 

Writing these poems make me agile 

Repetitive the vocabulary, the phonet 

None complaints, read it like a sonnet 

Their love for  me, makes them quiet 

Never take it for granted, me the poet

Without writing, my life now a hollow 

No fun whatsoever, energy level is low
So stuck to a rhyme-scheme, I follow

Passionately pens, me the crazy fellow

Topics for poems, never did it bother
Create from the bits & pieces one gather
Coin those simply,with intentions better
Passion counts, rest will come together

Positive thoughts with reasoning and logic 

Drives the people around and create magic

Instant decisions, for others it is like drastic 

Win the only outcome of each of their antic

Normal humans, with lots & lots of self belief

To all others around them they bring relief 

True champions loved by all, they are a lief 

Success revolve around them, they the chief

For champs nothing in life is called adversity 

All what they know of, is called opportunity 

Stands out their talent, & the mental ability 

Carry all around them as their responsibility 

Never will they quit, reveal at tougher time

Will not let go off their team, it’s their prime

Raise the bars with performances sublime 

For they believe in themselves all the time
