Life

Set to meet project deadline, with all our might
Stressed out thinking, through the day and night
Time run out, work expand, miserable- our plight
Kept saying each other, everything will be alright

Seems very difficult, living life, loads of tension
Always the project alive in us, name it dedication
Efficiency of mind and body drop, work emotion
Finally available not, miss out on the celebration

Repetitive and boring this life, without essence
Changed a bit, living it with lot of effervescence
Doing what one enjoy doing, makes more sense
Passion replaces stress, life in a nice ambiance

Soon realize, live life gently as per one's dream
Follow exactly the rhyme, we all sung with a beam
"Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream"

Hartal : It's too much!

Our train was approaching the first station in Kerala
Relaxed was the travel, playing cards, drinking cola
In came brother's call, "shall pick you in my Impala,
it's hartal, to bring you here shall decipher a formula"

Well aware of "Hartal", still searched the Wikipedia
Massive protest, these days live in every social media
Kerala link in related "See also" section of cyclopedia
Practice it and act like, the losses -we have no idea

Hartal keeps vehicles out of road, pollution it checks
Fast & junk food available not, even if you have bucks
Kids get holiday, a sigh of relief, much needed pecks
Once in a while alright this practice, too much of it sucks

Gandhiji introduced this to protest in a peaceful way
Never did he fathom, the country's progress it delay
Kerala is very active, in three days one is a hartal day
Production losses, none bothers, like a child we play

Blindfolded we are, all our actions have excuses lame
Though aware, ridiculously fall for the political  game
Our own this dubious distinction, no one else to blame
Most educated society in this country, what a shame?

God Willing

The connection flight took off before we land
Airlines bothered not, our plight, their brand
God willing, shall board you, do not demand
Happens when it happens, in this land of sand

Not sure of the outcome, one say "God willing"
Left it on God, one can relax while working
Sure of the outcome, then say "God willing"
Again left on God, one work while relaxing

Half on me half on God, it used to be before
Now our half God willing, increased thy share
Even the left out portion, we really don't care
Laziness infected us, follow like a nightmare

God willing, to overcome this, how to find way?
God willing, we shall soon find it out some day 
God willing, our laziness, we shall put to bay
God willing we shall be back to normal one day.

Resolution

Back at the same place, the earth & my resolution
Me stalled at the start, without a path or a solution
Earth did not stop, completed one more revolution
A glorious year, life continuing with it’s evolution

Shed no tear, will keep my smile, even if put to pain
Resolution done, wrote on a paper simple and plain
Came old friend, and tears, “emotions” can’t explain
Day one the resolution modified, started fresh again

Special terms, conditions, of resolution now written
Made it more flexible, need not correct quite often
Still this tough to achieve, my faith in me, it threaten
So day two, change it said my mind, I simply listen

Why take resolutions?, Why put ourselves to stress?
Without resolutions and goals- life seems meaningless
Set goal to stay happy, everything else, simply useless
Happy you are, get to see, infectious- this happiness
