Hallucination

Was in deep sleep, suddenly I sense smoke
Took it not seriously, treated as a mere joke
Kept hovering around me, as if to provoke
Got up from the bed, now ready for the poke

The smoke led me to a tree near my house
It went up the tree, from it a black cat  arouse
Scared a bit I was not,  for me, not a mouse
Hit with all my might, "stop" said, my spouse.

I see no cat, no tree, only remained the wife
No worry, it's a nightmare, get on with life
Was it real? deep inside me started a strife
She said, "spirits",  luckily you alive & safe

Come on, don’t be silly, it’s just hallucination
Later was playing with my two-year-old son
Looking at the tree he says “cat” with conviction
Where? I see nothing, maybe his imagination
