The Pond

Believe one can not, jumps we undertook
Scary the height, down we dare not look

Dive down thirty feet, our elders it shook
We kids in the pond's, all corner and nook

Naturally formed, pool's make very simple
Open to all, though linked to nearby temple  
Great relief, for waterless common people
For kids, it looked an ocean, with fun ample

Energetic kids, born in pond all our acts prank
Stood  an old banyan tree right on its bank
Climb up the tree, jump in pond', in an eye-blink
Pond- kid's club, remain in it, till all turn pink

Wish to be in that pond again, wish retakes
To be in there and commit the same mistakes
Run towards the pond, stamping the dung cakes
And again swim with those fishes and snakes
