Communist I was!

My friends were religious
I was trained to be athiest
never believed in rituals
because communist I was!
Beef and pork my favorite
liquor I could not avoid
could not follow my friends
because communist I was!
Hartal the way to protest
just mind the causes
never mind the losses
because communist I was!
Know not, what it stood for,
Never sought its agenda,
Never understood the strategy
because communist I was!
