Was never in my agenda this part of the world

The Real Virtual World

Suddenly a freeze- stopped the human brain 

Countour a small hiccup, brains down the drain

Nothing left in right, nothing right in left-brain

Stop not for long, starts the virtual apps rain

Earth-a place to be in, plenty happening in actual

Slowly took us over, our own ideas conceptual

The world shrunk in no time, a change perpetual

Virtual world a reality, real-world now virtual 

Desires put in practice, mirrors the real world

Everything just a click away, avail sand to gold

Life in loneliness, though many friends to behold

Get used to it, here to stay for sure, this world 

Express easy, no more introverts, extroverts all turn 

Emotions to emoticons, some fake- some burn 

Virtual world' a reality, gives many - a heartburn

Let brain control, else to the real world no return

Correct Mistakes

Growing up I made lots and lots mistakes

Later learned to learn from the mistakes

Wiser, when learned from others' mistakes 

Look up to people- only for their mistakes

Me turned pro, now all mistakes I correct 

Thought my teen sons, I need to correct

Tried, but they very sure they are correct 

Gifted me a mirror, said, "first self you correct"

Saw an old man, saw myself lean and pale

Complicate simple things, no time to exhale

Messy, the life I live, forgot even to smile

Changing self was not easy, it took a while 

Now, others' mistakes I let go, self I focus

No more anxious moments, sleep in surplus

Smile returned, "younger", the body status

Shiny face, mirror gave the needed impetus

Diplomatic Kid

Woke up hearing my little one laughing out loud
Saw a smiley little face, “me” a father very proud 
Day began positively, like sun coming of the cloud(s) 
Later, asked the reason, again he laughed out loud

Cheerfully, he started unfolding a story unheard
He- a very talented story teller I always admired  
“I saw you turning small, no mustache, no beard
You were in nappies, he narrated a story, bit weird

"Years passed by, I grew big, but- the reverse you did
Continued his narration the little one, his looks candid
Shall tell stories,  spent time with you, said the kid
Live your heart out daddy, I ensure none shall forbid

Reality strikes, forced me out of my fantasy world
Trying to escape,  to the office work- myself I hold
Suddenly flashed, the reasons made up, excuses I told
Awesome kid, his smart diplomatic teachings I behold

Daddy, I put my school near your office
Held an Ipad my little one, I failed to notice
Adjust with him, and to work pay justice
Virtual the world, suddenly I feel -"a novice

Boasting on; shall never succumb to despair
The reality: fear even to go down the stair
Life in here, altered much beyond repair
Insecurity crept in, the feel is in the air

Advises, instructions plenty, wish I elope
Where to?, just stay home- with lots of hope
Frantic search is on, for sure- the cure to pop
Else, Corona rule, spare not even the pope

Changed our living sense, this silly virus

Stay alive the motto, rest all just a bonus

Strike back, in human intelligence- the onus

And restart with all its flair, the human circus

Survive - The Lucky

Busy highway traffic, car into it I squeeze
Stop at checkpoint, control not the sneeze
Move, said the cop, corona in the breeze
Deliberate, show not, limbs were to freeze

Way back from work to home,a long drive
Temporary feat with car, adrenaline I thrive
Parked car, walk, in thoughts corona alive
A truck, life in me it was about to deprive

Felt like an amateur fight the undertaker
Unaware, risk my life and look like a joker
Gave up, he missed me by just a whisker
The almighty put all the luck in my locker

A truck then, now a tiny virus to pull down
Serious contender,made this world its own
Live sensible, worry not on the unknown
Survive, the lucky a fact very well known
